Hello! Today the verse that i will be sharing is 1 corinthians 10:31 " So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God" Often we use the phrase " for the Glory of God", however, do we really know what it means? Well, " glory of" means to reflect God's image. Therefore, the verse is trying to tell us that whatever we do, we should always reflect Godliness. Sounds easy? Think again. Even the simplest task that we do daily, such as eating, should be done for His Glory. How? For eg, after eating our food from the canteen, can we try to finish the food and return the utensils? how does that reflect God's image? Well, for one, we are respecting the canteen vendors. Know that when we do things for His glory, we are actually reflecting to others God's character. whenever we pray for eg competitions like the coming SYFs, we often say " ...may we do it for your glory". we are actually telling God that we want to portray His character, which in this case is good sportsmanship and faith. Therefore, i hope that you will understand better what " glory of God" means now. (:
